Yet another Arp Omni question: Messing with phaser-settings yes/no?

Yet another Arp Omni question: Messing with phaser-settings yes/no?

I'm just wondering if some musicians used to adjust the potionmeter
settings to achieve fatter, more intense phaser or flanger-type
effects? Would you recommend to do that or would this turn out rather
fatal for the synth? from looking at the paser board schematics the
three potis would only affect the lfo frequency for the effect, right?

Just found out that I wrote potionmeter instead potentiometer (ooops,
lol) well like I said before I am not from this country (but live here
since 2 yrs though) and pretty much a beginner in messing with
electronics. Anyways.... what I intend to do is to achieve the kind of
slow phasing sweep you can hear in this example:
http://www.marksmart.net/sounddesign/arpstrings/NordARPStrings2.mp3

would that be possible at all or should I rather keep my fingers of it?
Also I would also like to see some examples of modications performed
on a arp omni, such as filter mods (bandpass, highpass?), audio to
filter/chorus in, etc.. also is there a way to get rid of this
annoying retriggering function (or install a switch to put it off/on)
I'm open for any input and advice - thanks!
