ok Its not really a synth, but a midi foot controller I got for my 
roland jx3p. I gotta say how did I ever live without this thing 
before! ok im a newb in synthland and still learning to play pure 
chords,lol, im mainly a guitar player. But this synth is so real and I 
just love the "taurus pedal"-like pk5 that goes with it. The only 
thing lacking is a good piano sound. 
 Can anyone recommend a (very)cheap digital piano?

Kurzweil Stage Pianos (76 and 88 keys) aren't bad,
good key action, some decent piano sounds, also organ,
electric piano, and strings.  You can get them new in
the $500-700 range I think.  Occasionally cheaper if
they're scratch and dent on musiciansfriend.com or
zzounds.com. They're pretty heavy though if you are
going to cart them around.
