Moog Satellite info´s wanted

2001-12-27 by bijanlor

Hi folks,

i´m new to your group and want first to wish you all a merry
christmas.

A friend gives me a moog satellite (as a gift). I know about "this is
not really a moog and sounds awfull ...". But it is really vintage
and i love that kind of stuff. In this case i need help. I have no
idea where i can find some information to repair that thing. Any
ideas? Has somebody expiriences with the satellite?

Hi Bijan,

I own an almost mint condition Moog Satellite. It was the first
synth I ever saw in my life as a kid, and consequently years later I
had to own one even if it wasn't the greatest, just for nostalgia.
The man who sold it to me included an owner's manual, a repair manual
and then later I bought a patch book for it on eBay. There are web
sites that sell xerox copies of these manuals if you are interested.
Otherwise, I suppose I could make you a copy of mine. HOWEVER, I am
in the process of moving right now and my entire house is in
storage. It will be a couple of months until I can get access to
them. If you can wait, I would be glad to help. Write and let me
know what you wish to do.

Someday I plan on making a web page dedicated to the Moog Satellite
where I can scan all these manuals and put them on-line. Maybe this
summer.

Hi Rob,

thank you for your fast reply and your offer for help. This synth is
old enough to wait a couple of months and I´m too. My intensity to
keep the satellite is the same you had: "Nostalgia". But also I like
to see the things work ;-)so I would be happy if you could send me a
copy of your manuals. Is it possible for you to post it in a way i
would pay the cost? I´m also interested in the links to the web sites
where the xerox copies can be earnd. And last but not least I´m
loking forward to your own satellite web site. I´m a Web professian.
If you need some help give me a ping. I think we could have some fun
in creating that site. But for sure you will be responsible for a
correct english :-(

Best regards and a happy new Year

Bijan
