hey guys,

i'm wondering what i could do to find out why my juno 106 wont power
up. it just suddenly shut down and wont turn back on. it isn't the fuse.

should i replace the transformer? i haven't worked on any power
supplies yet.

thanks,
johnny

Check the AC line cord for breaks or tearing.

If it's already plugged in ..Unplug it and try again.

Dont be ripping out a transformer yet.

I'll look for a schematic

Looks like there is a main fuse plus 3 other fuses on the PS board.

Hello.

Some tips:

- Check the internal fuses (I\u2019m repairing a Juno 106 that burn the 15 V fuses, caused by a malfunction on the Voice 4 VCF/VCA chip).

- On power suplly board check the voltage values on fuses (AC) and at test points (DC) or power supply output connectors (DC) with a multimeter. Be careful to not touch live points with or hands.

- If there\u2019s a fuse blown in the power supply, replace it, remove the 4 power supply output connectors, and turn the 106 on again. If the fuses stay OK connect the 4 power supply output connectors one by one checking the fuses after the assembling of each connector, to try to find for the board which is causing the problem.

These are some tips to start troubleshooting.

Best regards.

José

The 3 fuses that "appear", besides the main AC there, are shown jumpered out in the schematic

Unless the problem child is a different rev
