Farfisa Power Cord

Farfisa Power Cord

2008-05-20 by Kirk Topits

Hi All,

I recently purchased a Farfisa OS42SR preamp, circa 1970. Farfisa was using
detachable (modular) power cords for amps. However, this was prior to the
standardization of the AC power connectors that are now used on PC's. It is
similar, but wider, and has a polarity notch in the center (typically in
gray plastic). Anyone know where to get a power cord, or the female plug
that connects to the amp. I am hoping to not need to do surgery to the
connector on the amp (although I have seen several that have been modified
to use PC compatable power cords).

I actually have two Farfisa amps, one has a cord and the other
doesn't. So I have photos of each connector.

Both are gray blakite(?). both have "6/250" on them (I assume 6amp, 250vAC
since this is for 110 or 240 volts).

Female connector on cord is part number D11-456
Male receptacle (on amp) is part number S11-693 (with screw terminals)

(Note the there are no spaces in URL, it has underscore)

 Thanks! Any help is appreciated!
