Vintage Synth Repair

I have a Kawai K5 and one DAC has a distorted output that's 4 to 5 
times as loud as the other channel. The sound is analog. By adjusting 
all the patch parameters the digital section seems to check out. Is  
this a known failure mode for a DAC of this vintage?

The next question is where can a PCM55HP be found? Digikey and such 
have about a 27 week lead time and I only need one.
