Wurlitzer 200 low volume in second highest octave

Wurlitzer 200 low volume in second highest octave

2008-11-18 by unreliablerecords

I have checked out the service manual, and aside from adjusting the pickup height, and
adjusting the let off, does anyone have any other hints or tricks. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.

the second to highest octave or thereabouts often came with a set of
plates installed between the reed and its screw. apparently this was
done to avoid reed breakage in a high-trafficked area of the keyboard.
if you have these plates installed try removing them as they might be
causing the reeds to vibrate less over the pickup rail.
