For those of us east of you on the other side of the pond...I understand the Brittish "Pound Sterling" and "pence" but what is a "Quid"??  Thanks,

A quid is slang for £1 sterling

Hi, Brian and Bernie!

Bernie, think of a "quid" as the rough equivalent of saying "buck" for an 
American dollar over here.  Pretty cool, eh?  Ya' gots ta' love da' money 
slang!  Yep, "Sound as a pound!"
