CS80 Ribbon controller.

CS80 Ribbon controller.

2011-03-30 by thesnomans

I have a CS80 with a broken Ribbon controller. the spring inside of the controller has broken in multiple places, anybody have one laying around they'd sell? or know of a way to repair them? I'd like to get this synth back to 100% and aside from a few aftertouch problems and the ribbon controller I'm there.

speaking of the aftertouch problems... I have a few clusters of keys where the aftertouch isn't functioning.

I've rebuilt the TKC and TSB boards, but no luck.
anyone familiar with the CS80?

Maybe you can ask in CS80 group, there are some experts, and if I
remember well, this issue was discussed some time ago.

Hi Steve,

Where are you based?

I have found a place that 're-springed' my CS80 ribbon just recently.

Excellent job and it was cheap too! Took a few weeks though.

Email me privately and I'll let you have details.

Cheers,
TOM

may have one, new too, bought in 82 when I used to do a lot of CS80 work. Just
not sure if it survived the move and where to look. Will have my new roof done
next week and will be cleaning the garage and will let you know.
