hohner string performer low volume on piano and violin

hohner string performer low volume on piano and violin

2016-10-24 by fainardi83@...

hello all
i have just received an hohner string performer
all preset works except the lower piano and the upper violin
i see in the service manual that there is an amp op lm741 for the piano and the violin
but i don't think it was the lm741 because is the lm741 was defect there was no sound upper and lower
for the piano i can hear a very very low sound of piano in the lower section, the same thing for the violin preset but in the upper section of the keyboard

any idea of the problem ? capacitor, diode, resistor

service manual here : https://www.manualslib.com/manual/989770/Hohner-String-Performer.html

see page 15 and 14

thanks a lot

Could still be the 741s, or any of those other components you mentioned, or something else entirely such as a cold solder joint or broken trace. No way to tell over the internet. If I had it here, I would need to follow the signal path with a scope or a signal tracer to find the point where it switches from normal volume to reduced volume. If I have a guitar amp or portable stereo handy, sometimes I'll use that as the signal tracer . Occasionally all it takes for me is a close visual inspection.

hello
i have started an investigation on the board to understand what is or whta the problemsif you look at the service note for the hohner you will see 4 gates ( cd4016) is gate is controlled by 12v voltagethere is two cd4016 named A and B, for the piano by exemple it is the A controlled gate 4016

there is the pin 5,6,13,12, with my mutlimeter i check the voltage on each pin and on the 5 and 6 there is 0V instead of 12v, on the 13 and 12 pin there is 12v

now try to understand why on the pin 5 and 6 i have nothing
