Test Equipment Question

2002-09-17 by joeviau

I'm in the process of restoring a vintage synth. Can
someone recommend a decent quality digital multimeter
and oscilloscope? I'm just trying to get some opinions.

TIA

Check out the test equipment section in the MCM electronics site. Most
scopes today are multi-function with read-outs on the screen for voltage,
p-p, freq., etc. Tektronix makes an excellent small one.

Could you give me a model number or two as a reference, just
so I can look up the features?

Thanks!

Try looking up these models numbers. TECK TDS1002. This is a 20Mhz
monochrome for under a thousand. or TDS2002, 20 Mhz color for $1295. Or look
for other models in the www.mcmelectronics.com Hope this helps.
