I perhaps found one. The guy is called John Adam. His www. is :

http://webpages.charter.net/johnadam/ICs.htm

Does anybody already deal with him?

He sells some SSM and Cem and various items...

Thanks for help ;-)

Best regards

Alx

Have you tried the ARP Omni web page? Maybe the
webmaster over there has some suggestions. He did
significant replacements to his own Omni:

All the best,

Rob

apparently, this chip is hard to find, and expensive (e.g., $49) when you
can find it...if anyone has any info on where to obtain these (or suitable
replacements), i would like to post it on the Omni page (the OEM late 70's
50240 in my Omni is still happily octave-dividing, so i never had to deal
with this issue w/mine)

thanks, PB>>

Re: Tb303 CPU & MK50240 for my ARP OMNI

2002-12-22 by ballendo <ballendo@yahoo.com>

Hello,

Type "mk50240 top octave chip" in the yahoo search engine. You will
have a hit near the top on an organ repair site which goes into these
in great detail. Since organs were (and are) the primary users of
this chip (and its stable mates); the organ guys often have a better
line on these than us synth guys.

Cannot say about the synsonic site and gent, but have gotten some
good things on ebay, including some old gear which I bought simply to
get some 50240's (ended up paying less than for a chip by itself, AND
I got keyboards, etc.)

For the CEM chips, synthtech.com is the most reliable source. "Chips
for brains" on ebay sells old synth chips, and has sold me some good
parts, but none of it is guaranteed. The synthtech chips ARE. BTW,
synth tech is Paul Schreiber of MOTM synthesizers.

Good luck, hope this helps,

Ballendo
