substitute for ua79mg

2003-02-21 by Ed Hallborg

Does anyone have any idea where to find a ua79mg for a arp/siel quartet? The manual says its a (-) power regulator. Any chance of a substitute? The only place I can find these- they are 25.00 apiece with a minimum order of 10.
Thanks,
Ed

Ed,
Try a NTE1927. Here's what NTE says about it:

The NTE1927 is a negative 4-terminal voltage regulator in a TO3 type
package designed to deliver continuous load currents up to 1A with a
maximum input voltage of -40V.

I'm not sure of the price for them, though. ~JIM
