Woody, I think the better question is "what aren't people doing with their Noise Rings"? I've connected it to all of my modules in just about any combination you can imagine. Modulation source, tone source, clock, LFO, VCO, noise source, random event generator, pinging my Klang Werk, sweeping my filters and VCO's, and the list goes on and on and on. It is probably the most versatile module I own. It is not only a work of art (I can stare at the flashing LED's for hours)... but also a VERY usable module. Every single time I patch it in... something new comes out. This module is absolutely OUTSTANDING! For those of you who don't have one yet... it is a MUST OWN module! I can't imagine my synth without it now. If you liked the Blacet Dark Star Chaos... this goes WAY beyond that. This module is pure genius. A work of art. An artists dream. If you are after creativity... this is your tool. Without it... you are an artist without a brush. With it... you not only have brushes, but cans of spray paint and buckets of color to throw all over the place! Oh the sounds! The CV generation possibilities. As far as I know... the list is endless! Will anyone ever know everything that can be accomplished with the Noise Ring? I seriously doubt it. Get one. See for yourself. I know you know where to look... but read more about it: http://www.wiard.com/1200/Noise_Ring.html The description doesn't do it justice. I'll never fully understand it. But I do know... I am VERY proud to own one... and can't wait to show it off to everyone I know. I also know... there aren't a lot left. If you don't get one now... you ARE going to miss out and then you'll be the one kicking yourself for the rest of eternity. Imagine... one of the most creative modules EVER created is available (in limited numbers) and YOU don't get one. You WILL be sorry. I promise you that. Like I said... this is a MUST OWN MODULE! - Brice (Just a VERY satisfied customer who happens to already have a Wiard Noise Ring!) ----- Original Message ----- From: "woodyy_wall" <woody_wall@hotmail.com> To: <wiardgroup@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Friday, January 09, 2004 11:49 PM Subject: [wiardgroup] Re: envelator... > --- In wiardgroup@yahoogroups.com, "amthewalrus" <bob_aloha@h...> > wrote: > > So what does everyone use their noise rings for? as a source of > > modulation or as a tone source?
