you misread me sir! i wasn't sneering at all, a passive RM IS a real DIY project. i was alluding to how quickly the bug gets under ones's skin..........

sorry, i was making a joke pointed at myself re: how simple the thing was to hook-up didn`t really qualify as "d.i.y." and how crude my own efforts are. guess i shouldn`t mention that i didn`t have any hardware the right size to mount the board to the l-bracket i had at hand so i insulated the pc board with a piece of cardboard and taped it firmly onto the bracket. :^) elegant ? no. works ? yes.
