Re: [wiardgroup] De mortuis nihil nisi bonum

2004-07-29 by Scott Stites

Hear, hear.
That series of threads last month on this list concerning the general 'east coast/west coast/middle coast' thing was sparked by John, and I enjoyed every post from him, and from those who responded (Doc, Gary, Grant, et al). He brought out the best in you all, no matter if you agreed with him or not. I learned a lot from the man, and not just about synths or EM. I'm sure going to miss him.
Take care,
Scott

I disagreed with almost every single one of John's opinions but I've still got a lump in my throat.
I loved his sharp wit, his uncompromising, NON-waffling integrity and most of all, his literate and articulate style. I really can't think of a clash that I will miss more. The whole synth community is poorer now that his chair is empty.
