Check out this sample if you are wondering what a Lowpass gate does. I have one of the old Wiard Dual Borgs (not the new Borg 2) and made this sample as a demonstration for those on the list who are not familiar with what it does. I wondered about what was happening with the sound when I got this module and only later did I realize it was due to the Vactrol inside. What a great module! Not only an awesome dual multimode filter, but dual lowpass gate and you have resonance control which you did not on the Buchla 292. Thanks Grant for such a nice module in my system,
I highly recommend others to get two of the super new versions to allow you for the series and parallel combination of filter types and poles. I am not even going to touch on the MS-20 squeeling of dees ting mangs!
The LPG patch uses:
2 VCO (MOTM)
1 S&H (MOTM)
1 Dual Borg (The old pre-Borg 2 version)
1 MIxer (MOTM)
1 LFO (MOTM, used to generate the pulse wave to trigger the Vactrol action via the modulation input on the Borg)
Also, I have a picture of mine in MOTM format with the Joyrider Joystick for dual frequency control. Check out the following pic for a visual on it...

I am working to put this in a 2-space MOTM panel so I have to say "so long" to the joystick. Even though it is a great addition to the modular I need to save on space with the new panel. You can see I also used cheap shiny Brother label tape on the first panel anyways. Now with FPD and Stooge inc I think it's time to invest in this module once again.
Thanks for the bandwidth!
