p.s. - your exposition on the noise question was a delightful, informative
read, too !
p.p.s. - a very minor point, we both have "rev.1" noise rings - the
"rev.2" version brings the otherwise deeply buried analog white noise out to the
panel so you could patch up a mixture of analog and digital noise ala i.d. to
feed a s/h, etc. for r.v.g. duties.
