Hi fellow Wiardo's! Longtime reader of this list but I don't post much as you guys all know your stuff WAY more than I do, and well I guess I'm a bit shy. Anyway I was talking with Grant today and mentioned one of my favorite Wiard patches, and he suggested I post it to the list, as he didn't think it had come up before. I love the JAGs - really do! But feeding them joysticks is one of the last things I do. My favorite trick is to feed a single JAG with the outputs of two Noise Rings, both running a pretty slow-ish clock rate. When you do this, you can take ten quasi-random gate outputs from the JAG's outputs, and these are great fun for triggering a bunch of drum modules or percussion sounds, for some random, generative rhythms. Too much fun actually! This is wild stuff and I love it. Enormous thanks to Grant for designing and building such fascinating and compelling instruments. This if the stuff I have the most fun exploring. Cheers, Mike in Canada
