With Olivier's permission, I have posted two pictures and an introductory mp3 of the "Auralesque" JAG based vector synthesizer. Olivier has REALLY understood the potential of the "secret weapon" JAG module. It is so rare that a really new module comes available, it can take a long time for people to grasp it's usefulness. Happily, Olivier is WAY ahead on this. Olivier, YOU RULE!

Olivier, The synth looks fantastic! Congratulations on realizing your vision! Did you use Front Panel Express to create the panel? Also, are the oscillators Blacet or Wiard 300 series? Any chance of getting a full module list or at least a close-up of the right side? Best wishes, Chris

Oh, thanks I am honored! I'll load up a picture from the right next week. The VCO's are not Wiard 300 Classic VCO's. This has two reasons: I could never destroy a Wiard Module. They are already perfect. I have 4 Wiard VCO's and I use them all the time, and I would never rip them out of the module. The second reason is, that I wanted to use the Auralesque next to the Wiard300, so I was looking for a different type of sound (as you here in the Track Grant just did load up). The untouched JAG in the middle of the Auralesque is the proof of that. The joystick is Wiard too, but I took off the faceplate. The panel is from Schaeffer. Its the biggest panel they ever did :-). cheers Olivier --- In wiardgroup@yahoogroups.com, "paradigmshiftbeats" <paradigmshiftbeats@y...> wrote:

So what vco's did you use anyway?
Great system by the way!

The main VCO's are Oakley and the third is a Curetronics, but this
one is mainly used for LFO. But there is a switch to HFO, if you
like, or you MUST have a 3-VCO Patch.

I just wanted to point out that the reason VCOs sound different, is not that some are closer to perfection, but that most are further away. The same is true of filter designs. Most have too much distortion to be called high fidelity. The modules in the Auralesque were obviously selected to provide the tasteiest range of funkiness. I mean if you want to talk about distortion, how much distortion does a sawtooth animator produce? --- In wiardgroup@yahoogroups.com, "waveform100" <googol@g...> wrote:
