Series 1200 WoggleBug?

Series 1200 WoggleBug?

2005-11-02 by Mike Marsh

Hi Grant -

I was wondering if you were considering a Series 1200 WoggleBug? I
know the circuit is available for folks with some DIY chops (Richard
Brewster for e.g.), but those less fortunate but equally eager a full
blown 1200 Woggle would be KILLER.

Mike

That would be a dream come true. I wanted a Wogglebug ever since I heard one in action. I haven\u2019t heard anything else that comes close to creating that sound.

Yeah - for that matter any of the 300 series
converted/mutated to 1200 series would be awesome! But
the Wogglebug Jr could be next for sure! Now I have to
figure a way to finance the Borg Assimilator... Time
to sell some of the old junk that I don't use enough.

Perhaps I am mistaken, but, I have been under the impression that the
noise ring provides the same smooth and stepped functions as the woggle
bug. no?

I am unsure how this can be implemented if it is true.
I haven't got any Woggle like sounds from my Noise
Ring yet. Seems to be entirely different to me, but I
would be happy to be wrong. I mostly play by 'ear' and
am weak on the 'science' side of synthesis... A little
tutoring on Woggling a Noise Ring would be great!

The Woggle Bug and Noise Ring are completely different circuits designed to do
completely different things.

They make completely different sounds/noises.

Thanks for verifying Grant!

I thought this was the case...
