Frac Rac Zeroscillator with bananas?

Frac Rac Zeroscillator with bananas?

2005-12-09 by Cynthia Webster

Hi Bob!

Had to think about your request for a little while,
and am sorry to say that due to the extremely tight tolerances
of the assembly of six circuit boards, there is just no way to get to
the jacks to wire them up as bananas.

(If there were a minimum of (30) FracBanana orders, then we
could design a special board for this potential ~sixth~ format).

An alternative is that a row of four Modcan format units = 18" inches
wide, and rows of six Blacet type modules = 18" inches wide...

All of our mini-phone jacks are PC board mounted,
and their boards fit together with the potentiometer board like
pieces of a puzzle. In fact, aside from the two LEDs,
there are only three wires in the entire Zeroscillator assembly!

It makes me very happy to be in concert with Grant as far as
supporting the format of his wonderful Frac Rac compatible
creations.

Best Wishes!

Cynthia

Frac Rac Zeroscillator

Cynthia,

Good luck with the oscillator.

Personally, supporting multiple formats looks like a way to lose 5 times as much money,
while increasing vendor and delivery problems by the square of 5.

Lets hope I'm wrong.

Mmm, why the smelly things?
No sour warnings! Only hearty cheers!
Cynthia just blew a bunch of minds. I'm still looking for the pieces
over here - and I'm still missing a significant amount from the last
time i used my noise ring.
Everybody keep doing amazing things! You are my heroes!

I would like to be more positive, but wishful thinking or "meaning well" will not get the job
done.

Paul Schrieber, Bruce Duncan and myself worked our a*s's off for year to
establish the modular market place as a safe place to do business.
(after the Don Martin debacle)

Our hard work provided the marketplace for amateurs to join.
But certain persons have taken the customers money and not delivered for YEARS,
because they had a defective business plan to begin with.

Certain persons may think they "mean well" by introducing overly ambitious products.
But when they can't deliver, they damage the very thing they intended to nurture.

Those bad experiences make people scared to do business with all cottage artisans.
And that affects our community in a very real and dangerous way.
