Hello,
I know the noise ring is not "really" intended to be used as an oscillator (though it can be
used as a tone source), but grant has mentionned here a modification transforming the
clock output in a clock input : has anyone tried that ?

I modded mine adding a switch that allows to change the clock output
to a clock input jack (and disengages the internal clock). Its
pretty cool.
You can get all these repeating random cv patterns out of it then
nudge change or chance and get a different pattern. Makes for nifty
bizarro sequenced patterns. Very nice to be able to sync the
noise ring to external gear.
It wasn't all that tricky to do but I had to cut a trace and the
soldering wasn't to the easiest spots. I also have to gain the gate
signal to the clock in quite a bit for it to trigger.
I suppose an opamp would get rid of needing to do that but I don't
know a thing about electronics.
Chris
thanks for your answer, chris...I'm sure the noise ring is very
interesting as it is (and hope it will arrive soon) but I'd really
like being able to use it as a chaotic dynamic wavetable oscillator, too.
