Unwrap Lines

2007-03-25 by Grant Richter

For whatever reason Yahoo does funky line wrapping. All of the posts seem a lot easier to
read if you go over to the right hand side of the sceen, click on "Show message option" then
click on "Unwrap lines".

Either that or never use the carridge return key? Anybody know what is up with the funky line
wrapping? Can we turn it off globally?

I suspect that the funky line wraps are for Estonian Yahoo members who
are still using Commodore 64s to access the internet.

Hi Romeo
...better watch it!
you'll offend the Estonians!
....and/or the C-64 users!

i still have 4 on active duty. One is employed as the HVAC controller
in Mabuse Manor. One is part of the security system (They run
surprisingly well off a NiCad array). I run one as a dedicated FORTH
engine (whenever i need to remind myself what not to implement in
FORTH), and the last one still faithfully harvests weather data for me
from a home weather station using software i wrote in college (that
was during the Garfield administration, i think)
I have 8 more in working condition as spares but i have yet to have a
failure among the original 4.

Nevertheless i'll admit that i favor other platforms for
word-processing and web browser applications!

Oh. What are they gonna do? Invade?

If anyone has the balls to still use a C-64, they're gonna be tough to
offend.

Does it control a switch that 1)opens the freezer door and 2) turns on
the fan next to the freezer? (c;

Yeah, they're trusty boxes. My boss has offered me the one from his
parents' attic. Can't wait!

it could happen....
at least they could block the road to Riga for a few hours and snarl
traffic in protest!

guilty as charged!

Mrs Mabuse has been trying to offend me about the C64's to no avail
for years

...and opens the drain cover so that the melted ice cream doesn't make
the floor sticky....it's a MULTI-tasker!

truth is ...i'd have no hesitation to replace it with a PIC-based
gadget .... if it would just %$#@! fail!!!! But i just can't bring
myself to change-out something that's still working. ....If it ain't
broke...
on balance, i want to point out that none of the commodore floppy
drives lasted more than a couple of years , that design was not robust
at all.

It's not so much a mailing list configuration problem than an
email client configuration problem.

The recommended line length in text is 60-70 characters. It's a
good compromise between vertical space use and readability and it
fits comfortably in a standard terminal (80 columns).

Your emails use close to 100 characters per line.
