That was exactly my reaction. If $40 is the extent of the cost (plus of course VAT and processing charges in UK) then that is not too bad for a $800 module.
all the best, Mark

Maybe it's a consequence of living in "rip off britain", but twenty quid to airmail a module across the atlantic doesn't sound too bad to me?

Any of our UK friends have suggestions for current best value for shipping to UK?

Thank you!

If that is acceptable, I will continue to use this method.

Out of 950 plus modules shipped, none has failed to reach it's destination by any method.

But, the Post Office is closest to my house. <humor> And so are great decisions made...

Does this go for continental Europe as well?

40USD might not that much for a 800USD module but for those who stick
to 1200 series for reasons of money it's sad news.

They no longer have Global Priority Mail.

They have some other service which is about US$24

I can send 1200 series for less than $40

$40 per module sounds reasonable.

regarding shipping items to the UK at the moment, a postal strike
started yesterday and is supposed to continue till middle of next
week. They'd better not lose my wogglebug!

it was bad enough when UPS lost my Fenix (hey Bill! ;¬)

cheers

Richard

It was shipped insured for US$650.00

That was the maximum amount allowed.
