some time ago Cary Roberts and I hacked a Miniwave to support 32x64
wavetables instead of the regular 16x16, effectively creating a PPG
wavetable oscillator.

if memory is now cheap, can we expect perchance a super-Miniwave in
Wiard's future? :-)

it involves a small PCB carrying an SMD 4mbit ROM and some logic. it
goes in the expander socket and some wires connect to the unused LSBs
of the ADC chips. really easy to install.

i'm not sure whether there is a distro plan -- talk to cary@retrosynth.net
