Re: [xl7] arpeggio out of sync every 2 or 3 pattern change !!!

2003-08-20 by erik_magrini@Baxter.com

I have a bass custom preset with an arpeggio running on MIDI 01B, on top
of it I play different Drum patterns (MIDI 01-16a), and every 2 or 3 drum
pattern change, the bass arp runs slightly out of sync !!

>>>Keep in mind that the XX-7's prioritize according to MIDI channel, with
lower numbered channels getting higher priority, and A channels getting
priority over B channels. So if you're drum patterns on the A channels
are really busy or have a lot of controller information, then it MAY
effect the timing of the B channels slightly. That being said, I use a
some pretty complex programming on many A channels, and very, very rarely
do I ever hear anything other than some slight drift on the arps playing
on my B channels.

Try deleting any channel pressure messages that have been recorded on the
A tracks, as well as thinning any controller info on these tracks too.
That might help.<<<

P.S : rEalm, I like alot your live set, especially the "Four on the Floor"
part (which is the major part !)...Enjoyed your 'rEalm live method'
tutorial too! it gave me new ideas for preparing my future live pa !

>>>Cool man, glad you enjoyed it and that the tutorials helped some. As
long as people findthis stuff useful, I'll keep passing on my ideas! :)
