There's a few things you can do to make your patterns louder:
- Make sure the note velocities aren't really low in your patterns, louder
velocities typically mean louder tracks.
- Create your own User Presets, and then double up the Layers in them. Ie,
go to the Save Menu and use the Copy Layers and Copy Cord function to copy
Layer 1 to 2, etc. Then save the Preset.

Subject: [xl7] user pattern volume lower than factory presets...
Hi all,
forgive me if this issue is already addressed somewhere else... but I
couldn't find it in the faq or messages. It's probably a setting
I've missed somewhere, but the patterns I create are significantly
quieter than the factory presets... Switching from my own to a
factory preset has just about blown out my ears more than once... :-O
Is there a "recording volume" setting I'm missing?
The volume bars are up as high as they'll go for the individual
tracks, (mixed appropriately of course :p)
running v 2 software on an mp-7, otherwise stock machine, no
boards (yet). Upgrading didn't seem to fix that problem.
any help?
thanks in advance
Charlie
