rEalm, you may have a look at my question about how to set up xx7 quick 
edit or prgmbl controler to fx send amount in multimode, do you know if 
this is possible? [that was the question already, you dont have to look 
for it]

never done it personally.  I think you need to have the effects set to 
"Controlled by Preset on Ch.x", and then make sure that Preset on that 
channel is the one you use the Preset Patchcords (as opposed to Layer 
Patchcords) set up for effects control.  I'd have to play with this at 
home some before I can say exactly what you need to do.  Frustrating I 
know, the lack of hands on effects control is one of the only major 
bummers for me when it comes to the XX-7s.  There's nothing like being 
able to crank the delay repeat up to full on a whim to create cooll build 
ups live. <<<
