Hi, im interested in creating a flash rom with my own drum samples on it.. Do we know what format the samples have to be organised in on the flash rom? I guess if you save them off on to the flash rom in an Ultra sampler it does it the correct way say for the XL-7 to read it. As the flash roms seem so expensive i would be interested in populating my own simm with flash chips if this is easily possible. Whats the story with the rom simms? are they standard connections as in the usual PC style 72pin simms? what organision of IC's have to be present on the board, ie how many flash ic's present. My XL-7's in the post from the states at the moment so its not here yet, so i havant got any experiance with the unit at present.
