Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

First off, I am new to the group so I must say hello to everyone!

I posted this question in the MP-7 users group, but I believe that it 
is dead :(

When I have a pattern that has an Arp, and i change to a different 
pattern that is supposed to have a different Arp pattern, the pattern 
from the previous arp is saved!

Is there any way that i can save the arp settings with the pattern?
This is what happens:
Pattern 1 has Arp pattern 1
Pattern 2 is SUPPOSED to have Arp pattern 2 but when i change to 
pattern 2, the arp from pattern one over rides the settings for 
pattern 2.

This question i didn't post, but still can't figure it out either...

I can't seem to get the effects to become enabled on the MP-7. When i 
go to global and bypass them ( it's the only other option 
besides "on") then go to the edit preset menu for the effects, it 
says that the effects have been bypassed. When I turn the effects on 
in the global menu, and do the same thing, it says the effects are 
global! Any help would be appreciated!!
