Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I have the minigig rig and it is great. It is big though. Just make sure the store sells you the latest version (x moldings on sides) rather than last years version (flat top and sides) as the old version's lid easily popped off and it doesn't have the handy lock.

I have a pretty nice sound engine in mine (if I do say so myself):

on top from top down:

rolls 10 track stereo rack mixer 1sp
4 voice Poly Evolver 1sp
XL-7 loaded 6sp
Electrix Repeater 2sp

on the vertical rack below from top down:

Furman power rack with lights 1sp
Alesis 3630 stereo compressor 1sp
BBE Sonic Maximizer 1sp
Yamaha A5000 Sampler 2sp
ProCo 4 channel Direct Box Rack 1sp

In the back I have a 4 into 1 midi merger that I run to the XL7 which then runs midi to the other varios units.

Setup is super fast, I need only plug it in, and then plug a controller or two to the midimerger. I have a midi out cable that I plug into a MachineDrum that I carry separately to sync it to the whole works.

Thing weighs a ton though.
