Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

His machine is probably in omni mode instead of multimode.  For newly
acquired used units, I highly recommend realoding the default factory
multisetup (the last one, #63) or even better, doing a "Init Data
except Seq" in the diagnostics to reset ALL the user presets.

PS. as a side note, it's nearly impossible to have a "partially" broken
OS.  It should either work perfectly, or not at all.  This is why
reinstalling the same OS shouldn't make a difference.  It's not like
computer software where you get some weird conflicts with your new
video driver, or latest copy of M$ Office, etc.
