Saving pattern... preset goes away...!?

Hi;

I'm saving a pattern OK... even navigating off it OK and coming back 
to it and it's fine...

But then after awhile the preset changes...??

What's going on!?!? What am I missing here?! Doesn't each pattern 
store the preset per track? Or... what?
