I am not sure why you are in a snit. You said you wanted an XL-7. Someone suggested looking for one on e-bay. There might be other options, such as calling around to music stores and telling them if someone wants to trade one in to let you know because you are interested in buying one, searching the web for on-line music stores, looking in newspapers--classified ads: musical instruments, etc. Personally, I have done shopping for gear on e-bay. But you may not want to or be able to use e-bay. True, Aaron was a little curt with his remark about e-mu being sold 12 years ago, but I don't think he meant to be snide. The rest of the discussion that took off seems to be just people wanting to talk about issues related to e-mu's hardware synths as legacy gear. I didn't see anyone being malicious. (Believe me, on other lists I have spoken out against intentional rudeness and one- upmanship. I reviewed the posts since yours and didn't see any of that directed at you.) If I inadvertantly said something in my posts that seemed to be directed as hostility towards you, I apologize. I'd like to think others here feel likewise. If you really want an XL-7, keep looking. When you find one, check out the FAQs in the Files section. Come back with questions and you will probably find die hard e-mu hardware enthusiasts here--maybe even those who graduated to PC-based e-mu gear/software. --Steve_the_aspiring_peacemaker --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "lifeistheformofenergy" <lifeistheformofenergy@y...> wrote: > > i am glad that a lot of you are so happy with your boxes - and so > much so to rub it in my face - but for supposed artists / musicians - > that is really negative energy - i just wanted a little help finding > one ... i mean what ever happened to musician oneness -
