On further inspection, I think it must be the cables I'm using. If I listen very closely using headphones to the XL-7 - there's no problem at all. At least I hope it's just the cables. It could be that it's the outputs on the XL-7, which would not be cool. But as I said - headphones plugged into the headphone jack produces perfect sound quality.
