I'm surprised it won't work on XP, works great on 2000 and according
to the site:
Proteum is designed to run on PCs or compatibles running Microsoft
Windows 32-bit operating systems including Windows 98 and Windows XP
- I paid $70 for it last year, a good investment. Have you contacted
their tech support?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
