Man, I just love my XL-7. It opened a whole new world of control in my LivePA setup. It has also added a bit of comfort knowing this thing is rock solid for live performance - much more so than a computer. Well, last night while lurking in the event edit menu, the unit froze up and would not respond to any key presses. When I shut it down, and almost immediately turned it on again, it did not power up. My heart skipepd a beat, then I waited about 5 seconds and tried again, and the unit came up fine. I dont know if I... 1. found a hidden bug in the OS? 2. or maybe there was an electrical interuption? In case one, I was navigating through the event edit menu (within pattern edit) to access tick zero for a program change message, which I know how to do correctly now (setting output channel to EXT) but the first time I didn't know what I was doing, so I may have tripped over some buggy key combo? In case two, I did notice during this episode that the power cord was being very tigthly pulled and the plug was ever so slightly loose in it's slot on the Emu, hence the theory that maybe there was a power anomaly of some sort. Since then, absolutely no problems - and I've spent a good amount of time navigating through the event edit menus. Anyway, the fact that the Command Station locked up scares the hell out of me. I sure as shit don't want that happening during a performance! Any ideas greatly appreciated. ~Mark
