I like he way you put this. As someone who used to spend lotsa time trying to help others work through their gear issues, I definitely agree. A large part of my wanting to sort through someone else's gear-related problem was because it helped me to get the most out of my gear for my own purposes. Over the past year I read many posts and wished I had time to (1) figure out what the person was saying, (2) figure out what they were leaving out, (3) diagnose the problem, and (4) come up with possible solutions, workarounds, and clear, comprehensive explanations that edified all. I, for one, no longer have that luxury. Sometimes, however, if I know there has been a discussion of a related issue, I will search the archives for and post a link to the previous discussion. If I neglected to reply to a particular problem someone had, rest assured it was nothing personal--just my lack of time. --Steve
