:) Nah, it has to do with workflows and stuff. I can't play guitar at all, but that doesn't mean that guitars are bad instruments.
I first bought the XL-1. Then i moved to the Ensoniq Halo + XL1 card for more control. Then i moved to the XL-7. It was always the scrolling through the menus that turned me away from the machines... Today i don't own any EMU stuff and i won't own it again until they come out with a different method for editing. Come on, scrolling pages of data is so 1990s... :)
