Here's something else to try -get a patch and set it for monophonic play as described in previous mail (or turn down your amp!) -set up the following patch cords: cord #3 key+- ---> keysust + 100 cord #4 DC ---> keysust +018 go into grid edit and start programming. you'll notice every note is tied -transpose down to C1 (light middle lamp on left and press bottom C) -you can know place some note offs/breaks. press a position to insert a note off and use the data wheel to set the velocity to 1. experiment adding more note offs or transpose back into the playable range and change the pitch programming. -anywhere you place a near silent c1 will break the tied note Note: stopping the sequencer will cause a hung note so press C1 or home/enter+midi to silence. I find this really interesting. If you ensure note on and offs don't occupy the same steps it is like proper step sequencing, inversely?! Mike
