1a. Try assigning each knob (MidiA through MidiP to a different CC.

For example:
REALTIME CONTROLLER#
A: 70 B: 71 C: 72 D: 73 etc.

1b. Or you could just use your current [or the default] values.

For example:
REALTIME CONTROLLER#
A: 74 B: 71 C: 25 D: 26 etc.

2. Then, in each layer, assign a different knob/CC to AmpVol.

For example:
L1 PATCHCORDS #01 [of main preset]
MidiA --> AmpVol +30

L2 PATCHCORDS #01 [of main preset]
MidiB --> AmpVol +30

L3 PATCHCORDS #01 [of main preset]
MidiC --> AmpVol +30

etc.
