I'm fairly sure I bought a ROM from one of the two person you refer to as Mr. Markup. As a buyer from Canada, I want to point out that in my case there is a peace-of-mind factor here with regards to dealing with a power seller who knows all the detail of shipping, taxes, who can have the transaction done through Visa and who knows the merchandise well and has more than one in stock in case it's broken. I don't mind paying an extra 40$ for this instead of dealing with individuals who are less experienced with this. In fact, I do not consider buying at all from a seller without a large sales history. --- steve_the_composer <smw-mail@...> wrote: > Although I haven't tracked E-Mu on e-bay in months, I seem to recall > that Mr. Markup would buy the Expedition ROM from the mid to low > $200s > (and below) and list it for a $295 Buy-it-now price with a starting > price of around $285 (or perhaps it was a starting price of $295?) > > If his buying and markup strategy (and the market) is still the same, > > you lucked out with the $266.
