Command Stations/P2500s do not echo incoming midi clocks. Also, if the E-Mu is at the end of a midi daisy chain, there is little or no timing reliability. I used to use a MOTU MIDI router (8 x 8 parallel port version) to avoid the daisy chain problem. I solved the problem of trying to sync gear with Sonar (and other clock producing gear--such as intelligent arrangers) by creating different Multisetups depending on whether the E-Mu was clock master or slave. I could not do this without the router. As far as midi clocks/sync OS 2.0 still tops previous versions. --Steve --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "ferrograph632" wrote: [snip] > now- here's another midi clock problem I have with the XL7: my command > station sits in the midle of my midi rig, so it receives data from > keyboards & a couple of hardware sequencers. it is therefore slaved to > incoming clock. so far, so good.
