I find the cryptic reference to Agatha Christie, to be more than a thinly vieled attempt to address the ventilation of the unit. And don't you go offering me some free gift, I think the big black plastic is obviously shoulders, not ears.I have never experienced any overheating of any kind with the MP-7. I have experienced this with Ensoniq, and Sequential Circuits though, too hot to touch.Agatha Christie is a mystery to me, and I may accept the odd chance that the big black plastic ends are actually intended as HIPS, not shoulders; but Ears? I would never remove them, it's just not done. ESW.
