Thanks. Just trying to understand it. Footswitch 3 must come in from externally as cc data but 1 and 2 must be an internal mapping. The tempo controller is confusing because any cc regardless of its function can be set as a slider so I guess its more akin to footswitch 3. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@...> wrote: > > What are you trying to do? > > (1) You can set the foot switches to different CCs. > Think of the footswitches as Continuous Controllers that have two states: on and off. For example, I used a slider on a usb keyboard set to transmit CC = 25. The mid point of the slider = the base tempo. Moving it down makes the tempo go down; moving it above midpoint makes the tempo go up from the original base tempo. > > When I set UP to CC = 25 and DOWN to CC = 26, moving the slider set to transmit CC = 25 from 0 to 127 increases the tempo from the base tempo. Conversely, moving the slider set to transmit CC = 26 from 0 to 127 decreases the tempo from the base tempo. > > Just don't ask me how to set the range of the tempo increase and decrease. > > I never did anything with tempo controller before, but a quick test confirms that it works. Thanks for asking. I have thought about trying the tempo controller thing out, but never had a reason to do so. I hope this helps. > > Steve > > > > > --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "scodoha04" <douglas.harvey@> wrote: > > > > Can someone elaborate on the midi footswitch assign and the tempo controller on page 157. > > >
