Re: [xl7] XL-7, Beat Garden and TSCY ROMs for Sale

2011-09-14 by Mibrilane

I don’t think $200 is necessarily over the going market value. A quick check of eBay’s Completed Items shows a TSCY selling for $202.50 + $9.99 shipping. TSCY, Vintage Collection, Protean Drums, Beat Garden, and especially World Expedition are all regularly sold on eBay for $200+, as far as I’ve seen.

XL-x, MP-x, and Composer ROMs seem to be the cheapest, often going for less than $100. I too have never seen an XL-7 ROM for $275, but I believe the XL-7 mentioned below is the actual instrument, not just the ROM.

Just my $0.02.

While I support your freedom to try to sell your roms at whatever price you want to ask, I feel I would be remiss as a moderator if I didn't suggest that shoppers look around for ROMS. For months new/unused bank XL-7 ROMS were selling for $50. Over the past 3-4 years I don't remember ever seeing an XL-7 ROM selling for $275.

In fact at this moment, there are at least two 5-bank XK-6 ROMs with BIN prices of just under $85.

I thought deeply before posting this; I am aware that it might be controversial, but I am sorry--using this group to try to sell ROMs that are seriously over priced based on today's market concerns me.

Again, I support your right to try to sell them at whatever price you want to ask for them, but I am exercising my freedoms to let members know of other options and to share my observations about the market.
