Re: [xl7] Can beats mode midi be sent midi out?

Hiya,

That way I could further tweak, copy/ paste, etc. that midi data in my sequencer to set up single voice midi tracks used to 'track' just one instrument.

I'm not sure, but maybe setting Arp -> Arp/Riff MIDI Out to "transmit
riff" or "transmit both" would help. Beats are (technically) just
multichannel riffs.

This app you mentioned sounds interesting. I wanted to do something
similar with XL-7 and it's patterns - I would just like to control the
business of my patterns, by turning the tracks on/off using a knob. It
could be done by putting a piece of software between a knob that
generates MIDI CC (e.g. Behringer BCR2000) and XL-7, the only thing I
needed was a sysex to turn the track on/off, but I was unable to find
it just by digging in manual. Maybe some experimentation will help...

Anyway, I think the list will appreciate your review of Vortex, once
you know it enough to write one.

Cheers,

Bruno
