indeed it does...

my summary tests show that it will work. in my E4XTUltra i just author
the "ROM" as a proteus 2000 bank and it's a done deal.

the E4 gives the Rom a Bank number and that becomes the important
program change info in the XL/MP

it works, and once inside, it gets better because the proteus filters
are a little more interesting than the E4 filters and equally as
controllable via midi.

the misleading bummers are:

only one bank per Rom, so while the manual reads like a hard disk
instruction, it's really just onebank per chip.

open and close and open and close devices to install (a tedious hassle
in a well arranged studio)

while i have 16 outs on my E4, i onlyhave 6 outs on my MP-7

but in the end it means not bringing a sampler to the live show.
and yes, it works without any real issues.
