Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Yes, it is okay. The light shows that midi is being transmitted out to the
midi output. If you go into the Midi menu you can set the "KEYBOARD OUTPUTS
MIDI" to off and then you will not send midi and the light will not light.
